PRYC incorporated as a ‘not for profit’ Association in 2009.
Paradise Radio Yacht Club is one of three registered RC yacht clubs in the Gold Coast region.
PRYC currently has 83 active members in four different yacht classes, racing over four days per week throughout the year. Most classes race two days per week.
There are currently 38 IOM skippers, 14 10R yachtsmen, 11 International RC Lasers sailors and 38 RG65 Dragon Force owners in the club.
Recent PRYC related Events:
• 2013 Australian ARYA National Championship involving four separate classes was held over thirteen days. Hosted by the QRYA and PRYC, it attracted a very strong field of 115 competitors from all States and New Zealand.
• 2014 Queensland State IOM Championship. A two-day event involving some 52 competitors including interstate and international skippers.
• 2014 Australian National RC International Laser Championship hosted by PRYC.
• 2015. Honoured to be nominated to host “2017 Championship of Nations” International RC Laser Yacht Racing Regatta.
• 2016 (April) RG65 Dragon Force Challenge. A one-day event involving some 26 competitors from five different Queensland clubs.
• 2016 (June) Gold Coast Hobby Show PRYC Display Promotion
• 2016 (September) Queensland State IOM Championship. A two-day event with 22 skippers competing.
